Several studies have been published on noncontact heartbeat detection recently. Particularly, a few found that radar for is effective long-term monitoring. As the novel coronavirus continues to spread worldwide, use of expected prevent contamination equipment by virus and enable from safe distance. To monitor fluctuation, signals must be detected over short period; however, conventional methods require approximately 5 s in stationary state human body. This study developed method detecting 2.5 based nonharmonic analysis (NHA) suppress sidelobes. The has nearly no data length limitations terms frequency resolution. validate method, performed with reduced noise driving simulation environment high noise. Frequency received enabled harmonics, suggesting possibility fundamental its harmonics. test this aspect, detectability harmonics determined under conditions comparison short-time Fourier transform, continuous wavelet transforms, proposed NHA method.
